One-child policy: still necessary in China?

ABSTRACT

Now a controversial topic is aired: does China still need one-child policy because many negative effects of this policy have been realized. This research paper emphasizes the problems of the one-child policy in China. It analyzes the reasons why this policy has low acceptance in both urban and rural areas in China.

WHY I CHOOSE THIS TOPIC

As we know that China has the largest population in the world, which has been a very serious problem to Chinese society. The one-child policy has been a very good control of the population of China in the past decades. However, it is reported that it has many negative effects on China. So I try to find out what the negative effects are and why these negative effects happen.

PROCEDURE

I get the information from the Internet and NIE libarary. I use the google search engine to find out statistics that I need in my research paper on the Internet. I also went to the library to borrow some relevant books and found different opinions fon this issure from different experts.

SUMMARY

To make a conclusion, a more effective law of family planning should be established by the government.
